Built in 1915, this historic post and beam building has been completely renovated into affordable and sustainable commercial office spaces for creative professionals. The client’s goal is to assemble a “living laboratory” of like-minded businesses to collaborate on ideas and services related to evolving green technologies. To this end, the building renovation includes several sustainable features such as a massive geothermal system to significantly reduce energy consumption and water usage. Simplifying and highlighting each of the original architectural elements preserves the building’s authentic character.
