Riverview Bridge
The Riverview Bridge connects two public parks on either side of the north branch of the Chicago River. The design strategy for the bridge involved the unconventional solution of disengaging the path from the riverbank and elevating it over the river. This solution raises the trail on piers, providing a sustainable solution that preserves the maximum amount of riverbank vegetation and stability while minimizing scouring and erosion.
