Hannah's
Hannah’s Bretzel, a fast casual eatery is one of the most earth-friendly businesses in Chicago. Since the first restaurant opened in 2004, UrbanLab has collaborated with Hannah’s to establish and develop brand identity through built form. In each location, UrbanLab plans customer experience, workflow, and back of house infrastructure. Working with the Hannah’s team, UrbanLab custom designs and engineers nearly every vertical and horizontal surface, including the sandwich line, product displays, decorative and branded wall paneling, built-in furniture, and furniture, fixtures and equipment selection. Hannah’s owner believes that fresh, organic ingredients make for healthier, more flavorful food. This led to the use of some building materials that are as natural as the food. For example, several wall panels are made from the same ingredients as the restaurant’s specialty bread: whole grain, wheat and seed.
